About Us
We are Cub Scout Pack 1776 in Richmond, TX! Our pack consists of boys and girls from Kindergarten through 5th grades from various Richmond schools.
Cub Scouts are full of energy! Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the scouts doing fun activities with a purpose. Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Many of the activities happen right in the den, an age specific group, in which the Den-Leader provides activities for the scouts to complete. In addition to den meetings, we have a monthly meeting of the larger group, called the Pack.
Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub Scout activities, lessons on good citizenship and a scout's sense of belonging are created through the Scout Oath and Scout Law, the Cub Scout sign, salute, handshake and motto.
Parent/Family Involvements:
Scouting offers a unique environment for parents and guardians to get actively involved in their kids' lives. Cub scouting is not a drop-off program. Parents are expected to stay and help out at scout meetings. Cub scouting in our pack is very family oriented; many activities allow siblings to join in. You will find that your family will experience more family outings after joining Pack 1776.
What to Expect:
One pack meeting each month, on a Wednesday evening during the school year. One den meeting a month, on a Wednesday evening.
