For families joining scouting for our 2025-2026 calendar year, Scouting America has split the registration into two components.
First, we have Pack registration and dues, which are used to pay for items such as our campouts, Pinewood Derby, advancements, and all of the other events we provide throughout the school year. These Pack dues are collected yearly during the month of September. Scouts who join later in the school year will receive a prorated rate, please contact treasurer@cubpack1776.org for more details on this.
Second, Council and National registration and dues are collected by Scouting America and go towards maintaining the support staff and systems that allow scouting to exist. These dues are collected when you register with Scouting America and will automatically renew each year on the anniversary of your initial sign up.
In order to join Pack 1776 and Scouting America, please follow the steps below (all three steps are required):
Complete the 2025-2026 Pack Registration Form online. The Pack 1776 fee for 2025-2026 is $0 for Lion scouts (kindergarten) and $150 for Tigers through Webelos (first thru fifth grades). If you need assistance covering pack dues and camping equipment, please let us know by e-mail at info@cubpack1776.org. We have scholarships available for families as we do not believe that cost should be a barrier to scouting.
During one of our scheduled meetings, you will also need submit Pack Picture Permission form (found here) and Medical Forms A and B (found here) with the check.
The Council and National fee for 2024-2025 ranges from $170 to $210, and will be determined automatically based on options selected when registering as well as if you were previously a member of Scouting America. To process the online application, click here.
Note that there is a $20 discount on the Pack 1776 portion of the dues for each additional scout if you sign up more than one child (excluding Lion scouts)
